Who we are
This website is run by [TRADING NAME – CONFIRM, e.g. Luke Cameron trading as Luke Cameron Personal Training] ("I", "me", "we"). I am the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Contact: info@lukecameronpt.co.uk
What I collect
When you fill in the application form, I collect:
- your name, email address and (if you choose to give it) phone number
- where you're based
- which service you're interested in, your main goal and how you heard about me
- anything you choose to tell me in the message box, which may include health information such as injuries
If you email or message me directly, I'll also hold that correspondence.
The form also records which page you applied from and, if you arrived from an advert or campaign link, the campaign details in that link (for example "utm_source" or an ad click ID). I use this to understand which adverts work.
Why I use it, and the lawful basis
- To reply to your application and arrange a discovery call. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- Health information you choose to share is used only to understand whether and how I can coach you safely. Lawful basis: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
I will not use your details for marketing unless you separately agree, and I will never sell your data.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted services to run this website:
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and processes form submissions. Netlify is based in the USA; transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / Standard Contractual Clauses.
- My email provider receives a copy of each application. [ASK – name your email provider, e.g. Google Workspace]
- Google (Google Analytics 4) and Meta (Facebook / Instagram Pixel): only if you accept cookies. See "Cookies" below. Both may process data in the USA under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / UK–US Data Bridge.
- If you become a client, your coaching data is held in My PT Hub, which has its own privacy policy.
How long I keep it
If you don't become a client, I delete your application within 12 months. If you do, I keep your records for the length of your coaching and for up to 6 years afterwards for legal and insurance purposes. [ASK – confirm these retention periods]
Cookies
Essential storage only remembers your cookie choice. Nothing else is set unless you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you accept:
- Google Analytics 4 (cookies starting
_ga, up to 2 years) counts visits and shows which pages and adverts bring people to the site. - Meta Pixel (cookies
_fbp/_fbc, up to 90 days) measures whether my Facebook and Instagram adverts lead to enquiries, and lets me show adverts to people who have visited this site.
Lawful basis: your consent. If you click Reject, none of these load. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or by clearing your browser's cookies for this site.
Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Meta's: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how it's used, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To do any of this, email info@lukecameronpt.co.uk. I'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
